A Tribute to Dad!

The month of Febuary was a very depressing month for me, I lost my Dad on Febuary 4th. He was 87 years old and had battled Parkinson’s disease for nearly 30 years. It’s funny that you never think of how proud you are of people until they are gone, and I hate to admit it, but I am one of them. My father lived a long life, full of accomplishments I can’t even dream of, but my proudest moment came at his funeral. Dad was a retried Air Force Officer, he flew a B-29 Bomber in WWII as a part of the Army Air Corps, which branched off into to the US Air Force. After the war he continued with his Collage education and graduated from Butler University around 1948. He was then recalled to service in the early 1950’s where he served as a Navigator/Bombardier on a B-47 Bomber. After the Koren conflict, he continued on in the Air Force, Retiring in 1967. As I said, I am most proud of his Military Years, and as such, I am posting a video that I put together from photos that I found of his days in the Military in hopes that we will never forget the sacrifice that he, and all who fought, and many who died for our country will never be forgotten!!! His funeral was with Full Military Honnors, including a 21 Gun Salute, Taps, and a flag for Mom, one of the proudest momonts of my life!! Thanks Dad, you will be missed!! Jim, Kristin, & Madison

These are photos of a good friend of mines Son Jim and his Family, they were taken last fall at Falls Park in Pendleton, Indiana. Now, I’ve known Jim since he was in diapers, (where does the time go!) so photographing his daughter Madison was a special time for me. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day in a more beautiful place, with a more beautiful little girl, a country girl at that, she loves John Deer Tractors! The photos are actually shown in the reverse order that they were taken, I’m still learning about posting and using this blog, anyway, we started the day doing the family shots, and then let little Madison go her own way while I followed her around snapping pictures while she explored, what a wonderful time we had. Thanks Jim, Kristin and Madison for allowing me to share in yourDay!

Fredric’s blog is Finally here!

Welcome to my new blog!! As this is my first post and I am very new to this, I have set up the blog without having any content to post, so I am going to shoot from the hip and tell you about my new “Videos from Stills”. After a month of research, trial and error, and many late nights at the computer, I have finally come up with the right software, and video encoders to give the best possiable quality. I have had a lot of requests for a way brides could view their proofs on a TV with Music and transitions,by using the view subtitles menu on your DVD remote the file numbers can be viewed to make selections easy, but at the same time, they are a good way to view with family and friends without having to crowd around the small computer screen. These are really Fantastic!!!! They can be played on DVD players connected to a TV, and also can be viewed on any computer with DVD capabilities. I have done several of these now and brides love them. Below is a link to one that I put together for my Nephew, it was done with photos that I have taken of him through the years. This video lasts for about 8 minutes, be sure to watch it all to get the full affect. Hope you enjoy it, and please feel free to leave a comment.I will try to keep updates current and also interesting, so please check back often for the latest news from Fredric’s Photography, thanks for viewing!!!
